Altachorvie Country House Only 4 miles from the ferry terminal at Brodick, Altachorvie is situated on the east coast of the island, on the edge of the typical Scottish coastal village of Lamlash. From its elevated position the house enjoys stunning views over rolling lawns and Lamlash Bay to Holy Isle. This country house, designated as non-smoking, has 34 en-suite bedrooms equipped with a hairdryer, clock radio and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. Televisions and telephones are not provided in the bedrooms. Indoor facilities include a bar, lounge, conservatory and a games room with table tennis, board games and card tables. Croquet, volleyball and badminton can be enjoyed in the garden. Meals are served in an informal, friendly atmosphere at tables for up to eight guests. A three-course dinner is served at 7.30pm for a charge of 18 GBP per person. If you would like to dine at the country house please contact the house before 6pm to make your dinner reservation. A choice of full English or continental breakfast is offered. To allow you to make the most of your touring or walking holiday, a self-select picnic lunch can be provided for the small charge of 10 GBP per person. Free car parking is available. Please notify the country house in advance if you intend to arrive after 10.30pm. Bedrooms are available from 2.30pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure. The country house is an excellent base for those on an activity or walking holiday. There are very good drying facilities and storage for bicycles. Nearby tourist attractions include Brodick Castle and Country Park, only 6 miles away and the Isle of Arran distillery, 17 miles away at Lochranza.

Altachorvie is beautifully set amid gardens on a hillside on the east coast of the island with views across the beach and Lamlash Bay to Holy Island. It is convenient for ferries banks and other facilities in Brodick the islands port 3 miles north. The hotel makes an excellent base to explore the island of Arran. Known as 'Scotland in miniature' the Isle of Arran offers a diverse range of walks. The island lies in the Clyde Estuary near to Mull of Kintyre.Rooms mainly in a annex block behind the main house all ensuite.
